Film captures Allt a’Mharcaidh river restoration works

We recently completed river restoration works on the Allt a’Mharcaidh River in the Cairngorms turning a watercourse, which had been historically straightened for floating logs, into the meandering waterway captured in this fantastic film (link below) courtesy of James Shooter and SCOTLAND: The Big Picture.

Now restored to its historic route, we installed a number of large wood structures in the river to encourage deposition of sediment and raise the river bed. Huge credit goes to our skilled delivery team and to EnviroCentre for the project design.
